Founded in 2019, at Canterbury Crocodiles Dodgeball Club we aim to give everyone the opportunity to take part in exercise whilst being in a fun and friendly environment. There is something for everyone, no matter what your ability or starting fitness level. It’s a lot more fun than running miles on a treadmill in our opinion!
Dodgeball is great for improving; endurance, balance, flexibility and co-ordination. However, the best part is you are doing all that in a fun, social environment whilst having a laugh.
To give people a taster of the sport, we offer the first session for free so potential members can experience dodgeball. We now offer dodgeball for people aged 7-15 within our Junior Club and 16+ in our Adult Club.
a message from our founder
"I have played dodgeball since my first year at university, this was in 2016. Having graduated from university and wanting to continue playing a sport I immediately fell in love with, with no opportunity in the local area, I decided to start up Canterbury Crocodiles Dodgeball Club. I achieved my Level 2 Coaching Qualification from British Dodgeball in 2018, shortly after this I completed my Refereeing Qualification in 2019.
In my last year at university, I was the treasurer and coach for the university team. This gave me the knowledge of how a club needs to be run, as well as building up a relationship with the British Dodgeball team. At university, I competed in many events regularly playing against and with players from the Welsh national team, this has given me a lot of experience against world class dodgeball players. I am hoping that I can bring all of this experience and use it to motivate other people into enjoying a fantastic sport!
The aim of Canterbury Crocodiles is to allow everyone to participate in sport, with weekly sessions, this gives a regular hour of activity every week."
